Tombstone Trip Report

The Nanowrimo class went to a small town called Tombstone last week. The drive was long but it was worth it. We did several things in Tombstone. We went to an interesting play about the wild west shootout at the O.K. Corral. We went to a graveyard where we could see the grave sites of the people of Tombstone. And, we saw a movie explaining the long history of the town. We stayed in some pretty nice cabins. To finish the whole thing off, because we are creative thinkers and writers, we told ghost stories. Tombstone was a good place to tell ghost stories because there are many legends who continue to walk the land of Tombstone. Tombstone is a very interesting town, even with all of its up and downs. Tombstone is called the town too tough to die.

Tombstone Writer's Retreat

The members of the NaNoWriMo elective who worked hard will be going to Tombstone, Arizona  December 8/9 with Ms. Goglin and Mr. Baumbach. The town is filled with western things such as gunfight re-enactments, caverns and more! They will be writing a short story the week after they get back based on something that they saw or learned in Tombstone. Here is a link to the Katie's Cabins in tombstone website. Here is also the link to O.K. Corral, where they will also get material for their story. And the trip itinerary.
